Is the Philips Norelco G370 Really an All-in-One Grooming Kit?
The Philips Norelco G370 is advertised as an all-in-one grooming kit. As I began to look closer, I’m not so sure I agree with that. It does have the essential grooming attachments including a nose and ear hair trimmer attachment which is left out of a lot of groomers for some reason. The issue I’m having with this product is to truly be an all-in-one groomer, it should function well for all facets of grooming, including below the neck grooming.
The Philips Norelco G370 does not have a body shaver or body trimming comb attachment which is kind of a bummer, and in my opinion does not qualify the Norelco G370 as an all-in-one groomer. I’m not totally writing the G370 off, it’s still a great option for guys who don’t do full body or below the neck grooming. Let’s talk about some of the features.
Philips Norelco G370 Features
There are a total of 6 attachments that are included with the G370. There is an attachment for trimming your hair, beard, mustache, nose and ears, and the eyebrows. There are 9 locking length settings allowing for more control over style and length of cut.
The blades are self sharpening and the AccuControl System allows the Norelco G370 to glide easily over the contours of your face, chin, and neck areas. One great thing about the G370 is the blades are maintenance free so you don’t have to worry about oiling them. All of the attachments are washable but the unit itself is not.
The fact that you can’t use the G370 in the shower is a real let down in my opinion. Though, I’m thinking of the full range of grooming beyond just the face and hair. So, like I said, this is still a great choice if you want a basic groomer and dependent upon your grooming habits.
The Philips Norelco G370 is rechargeable and operates cordless. It also comes with a pouch for travel or storage.
Some of the attachments such as the mini foil shaver and the precision trimmer allow for nice clean lines and detailing. This is an important feature for a trimmer. I also like that there is a nose and ear hair attachment. That’s not always included on groomers.
My Thoughts on the Philips Norelco G370
The bottom line is this; we all have different needs and wants from a product. My job is to be unbiased yet critical. I’m not going to recommend a product I don’t believe in or don’t think is right for you if it isn’t.
If you are looking for a basic trimmer to take care of your beard, mustache, and pretty much anything above the neck, then I think this is a decent buy. It doesn’t have an LED or LCD display, it doesn’t come with a traveling case though it comes with a pouch, and it is not usable in the shower. For a lot of guys those are extremely important features. For others, they could care less because it’s not what they are looking for in that type of product.
If you are looking for a truly all-in-one groomer that has all those features, I highly recommend the Philips Norelco Multigroom Pro. It also happens to be waterproof and functions as a full body groomer.
Now that I’ve shared my thoughts, let’s check out what other guys had to say about the Philips Norelco G370.
What Guys are saying about the Norelco G370
The G370 received an average of 4.1 out of a possible 5 star rating from actual customers. I’m not surprised as Norelco makes a quality product and a majority of guys were satisfied with their purchase.
Some of the common complaints about the Philips Norelco G370 go along with what I’ve been talking about. A lot of guys felt it lacks in features, it isn’t for use in the shower, and it does function well for full body grooming.
I’ve tried to give you both sides of the story so you can be confident in making a buying decision. If you are looking for a full body grooming solution then I wouldn’t recommend this product. If you are looking for a product that serves for above the neck grooming, then I think the Norelco G370 is a great choice. Currently you can purchase the G370 from Amazon through the following link, but be sure to look for a newer version of this model as it will be less expensive with more features.
